Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of how you think about it.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
