The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
